Take Full Advantage of Your Vision Plan Benefits
SimplyEyeglasses.com is accepted by all major vision insurance plans including EyeMed Vision Insurance as an out-of-network provider. Once you've purchase your item from us, you will automatically be emailed an itemized receipt to submit to your vision insurance carrier. If you need assistance completing your insurance claim we will be glad to assist you but usually it's straightforward. In some cases, your insurance carrier may need additional information, if so then please contact us and we will assist you.
Enroll for SimplyEyeglasses.com's VBP ( Vision Benefits Plan )
If you're a business or brokerage firm with at least 20 employees you can sign-up for our VBP for absolutely no charge. All you have to do is fill-out a short form and submit it to us. Eyemed Vision Insurance Out-of-Network Benefits
Eyemed Vision Insurance plans offers an out-of-network benefits. Out-of-network benefits means that you can buy glasses, reading glasses or sunglasses from any eyewear store (like SimplyEyeglasses.com), and submit the receipt to EyeMed for reimbursement. SimplyEyeglasses.com does not accept eyewear insurance for payment; you must submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.
In-network benefits means that you must buy glasses from EyeMeds list of independent doctors that also dispense eyewear. Your in-network eyewear options will be limited to the frames and lenses and pricing offered by that store. These stores increase the listed price of their eyewear so that they can discount it when they accept your EyeMed Vision Insurance plan. At SimplyEyeglasses.com you have a vast choice of eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens options at prices that have not been inflated so that we can accept insurance plans.
EyeMed Vision Insurance In-network/ Discount plans
EyeMed Vision Insurance in-network/ discount plans require you to buy frames and prescription lenses at a retail store that accepts EyeMed Vision Insurance. Currently only LensCrafters, Perle Vision, Target, and Sears Optical stores as well as a select other retailers. In-networks plans can be used once a year or every two years but discount plans can be used an unlimited number of times. However, at SimplyEyeglasses.com you will find our prices costs are way under an EyeMed discount plan.

EyeMed Access Plan D Discount Plan
EyeMeds Access Plan D Discount plan gives you discounts on eyeglass frames and fixed prices on lenses and lens options. You can use the plan as many times during the year as you like. However, SimplyEyeglasses.com offers lower prices on most of the products and services compared to the EyeMed plan. See the table above for a comparison.
EyeMed In-Network Benefits
In-network benefits means that you must buy glasses from Eyemeds list of optical retailers. Your in-network eyewear options will be limited to the frames and lenses and pricing offered by that store. These stores increase the listed price of their eyewear so that they can discount it when they accept your EyeMed Vision Insurance plan. At eyeglasses.com you have a vast choice of eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens options at prices that have not been inflated so that we can accept insurance plans.
If you stay in your network, you may have a co-payment of anywhere from $10 to $20 for frames and lenses. You get an eyeglass frame allowance of $100if the frame costs more than that, you get a 20% discount on the difference. Lenses are free only if they are regular plastic (single vision, bifocals, and trifocals). If you want a polycarbonate lens the cost is $50, and $75 for regular plastic progressive lens.
EyeMed Vision Insurance has fixed rates for lens options, but the fees are higher than the fees for the same options at SimplyEyeglasses.com. For example, if you want scratch coating, UV protection treatment, and edge polishing on your lenses, SimplyEyeglasses.com would charge you $0. We never charge for UV protection, scratch coating or edge polishing, which we include free on all the lenses we make. Using the EyeMed in-network plan, you would pay $50 for these options (scratch coating $15, UV Protection $15, edge polishing $20. Prices vary, this is an example only), as well as other fees.
EyeMed Vision Insurance plans have other restrictions, and your plan may vary from the standard scenario we have outlined above. For example, you are only allowed one pair of eyeglasses each year or each two years, depending on your plan, regardless of whether you break or lose your glasses. Eyeglasses frames with non-prescription lenses are excluded. And you can only use your insurance at participating providers.
